“God is, Therefore I AM”

As a spiritual seeker, I have always sensed that we have an innate spark of divinity within us. Indeed, I designed one of my business’ logo—a flame!—with this fundamental Truth in mind. As our website states, "Our brand represents the eternal flame or divine spark within each of us.”

Overall, accepting the concept of “God Is, Therefore I AM” has upturned many former ways of thinking. For example, if we are individual expressions of God, then instead of praying to this presence, we must pray from it. There goes a lifetime of conditioning! (I want to also note that I use the word “upturn” intentionally as a metaphysical pun as these changes support my spiritual ascension—or upward mobility—in consciousness. UPturn, get it?)

This reinforced spiritual framework of accessing the Spirit within has also served to dissolve away my human fears in the material realm. Belief in the all-knowing, all-powerfulness of Cosmic Consciousness—also, Source, the unified field, God, or whatever name you prefer—fills me with a knowing that nothing can stand against me. This is also further solidifying the consciousness that we create our worlds from the inside, out. I am filled with a sense that I cannot fail and what I desire is already done in the spiritual realm.

Affirming my relationship with my Higher Self—the Divinity within me—has given me greater clarity on my purpose on Earth. Indeed, I have come to understand and accept that being my authentic self is the whole point. This feels me with a mix of relief and excitement, removing the burdensome question of “why are we here” and replacing it with a keen sense of responsibility to fully express my uniquely individualized expression of Divinity in human form. I AM one of a kind!

Again, this change in perspective—"from scared to sacred”—puts a whole new spin on how to consciously approach our ways of thinking and being. Ultimately, I seek to be authentic and recognize that all thoughts are Divine Ideas that I have the choice to bring into physical manifestation. And if I don’t choose to act on it, then someone else will! Indeed, focusing on the consciousness of what it feels like to have my desires met seems to be drawing potential opportunities to me instantaneously.

On the whole, my spiritual studies in New Thought and beyond have positively impacted my overall sense of spiritual well-being. In terms of changes to my consciousness, I have a greater awareness that I AM worthy to receive my divine inheritance. In practice, this has meant taking active steps to get outside of my comfort zone and fully embrace my spiritual self in my professional life. I am also spending more time visualizing and conceptualizing want I want before taking action to bring it into physical manifestation.

Significant Takeaways

As an aspiring minister, I realize that I cannot heal anyone, but myself. When you accept that I AM Divine, then one’s love for God easily extends to self love for your innate humanity as well—otherwise it seems silly to only love one half of yourself and not the other, no? This same perspective then informs how we view/treat our innate light and dark or "shadow" aspects, as well as others! For example, would we not unconditionally love all of our child? Why do we hesitate to give our own inner child the same kindness and consideration?

When this radiant self love emanates from our heart center, this can help shift others into a balanced state of resonance within their body temple and energies bodies. Thus, when we heal ourselves, we literally have the capacity to realign and reharmonize others’ physical energy frequencies, which in turn, changes our external world and elevates collective consciousness. It is such a powerful reminder that we truly are all of the One and our perceived separation is merely an illusion. Instead of “God is, Therefore I AM,” perhaps a better turn of phrase is “God is, therefore WE ARE.”

One final thought, although our efforts to heal ourselves has the capacity to help others on their journeys, it is not our job to walk anyone else’s spiritual path! I wasn’t ready to openly share my spiritual insights with the world until I let go of the need to change hearts and minds. I will do my best to effectively communicate spiritual downloads and insights, but then it’s not my business what anyone does with this information. My job is to elevate and maintain a high level of individual consciousness, which will enable me to tap into Universal consciousness. Period.
